Our Buying Guide

 

  • Consignments or purchases accepted by appointment for drop off only, except where otherwise noted.

  • A Wee Bit Worn determines the acceptability of each item and its selling price based on condition, brand, style, size and demand. If you have a minimum value you will accept for the items being purchased, you must notify us on this form and the amount must be preapproved by a Staff member of A Wee Bit Worn. We reserve the right to refuse items if we feel we cannot obtain your asking price plus our percentage.

  • We accept only seasonal items. Spring and summer clothing is accepted January-June. Fall and winter clothing is accepted August –November.

  • Clothing should be current styles, like new condition, freshly laundered / clean, odor and wrinkle free and ready to sell. Other goods must be in good, clean and working condition, free from stains, tears, no missing or broken pieces and not under recall. Batteries must be provided for items that require them. Best sellers include jeans, slacks, tops and designer apparel. It is at our discretion as to what makes it to the sales floor.

  • We do not accept the following items (this is a sample list and does not reflect all items we do not accept):

    • Clothing that is excessively pilled, stained, torn or missing buttons

    • Clothing with zippers that are broken or tough to move

    • Clothing that is dated or out of style, generally more than 5 years old

    • Incomplete sets

    • Underwear

    • Car seats

    • Bike helmets

    • Any unsafe or recalled items, please reference the Consumer Product Safety Commission

  • Clothing should be laid out in a laundry basket, ready to be put on the rack

Consignment guide

Our Consignment Guide

The consignor anA Wee Bit Worn acknowledge and agree that the consignor has provided goods described that meet all quality conditions listed below. These items are being placed for sale on a consignment basis, under the terms and conditions of this agreement.

  • Consignments are accepted by appointment or drop off only, except where otherwise noted.

  • A Wee Bit Worn determines the acceptability of each item and its selling price based on condition, brand, style, size and demand. If you have a minimum value you will accept for the items being consigned, you must notify us on this form and the amount must be preapproved by a Staff member of A Wee Bit Worn. We reserve the right to refuse items if we feel we cannot obtain your asking price plus our percentage.

  • We do not accept the following items (this is a sample list and does not reflect all items we do not accept): During the third month it is the consignor’s responsibility to pick up any unsold items or at the end of the third month they become the property of A Wee Bit Worn.

    • Payment for sold items may be picked up after the fifth day of the month for items sold in the preceding month. Money must be picked up at the store. In the event the Consignor does not pick up their payment for sale of the days consigned goods within thirty (30) days of the receipt of sold merchandise and payment of same it shall be deposited back into the Company’s account.  10% per month of the remaining 40% shall then be paid to the Company as an administrative fee.

    • Consigned goods will be displayed in store for sixty days.

  • A Wee Bit Worn reserves the right to put items on sale at times deemed necessary to move merchandise or to celebrate the end of a season or special occasion. We will get the best possible prices for you.

  • A Wee Bit Worn agrees to pay the consignor 40% of the final sales price less taxes and / or additional incurred fees.

  • From the proceeds of your first check there is a one-time $5 charge per consignor for administrative costs and services.

  • A Wee Bit Worn is not responsible for merchandise that is damaged or stolen while on premises. We do our best to safeguard your items.
